Grow Through What You Go Through: Spring Growth Mindset Activities for Kids

Spring Growth Mindset Activities for Kids

Spring is a season of growth — not just for flowers, but for our kids, too!

As the days get longer and the world begins to bloom, we’re reminded that growth doesn’t happen all at once. It unfolds slowly, quietly, and often beneath the surface before we ever see the results.

That’s exactly why I created these spring growth mindset activities for kids — simple, meaningful exercises paired with a fun way to track emotional growth along the way.

If you have a child who struggles with perfectionism, gets discouraged when things don’t go “just right,” or feels frustrated while learning something new, you are not alone — and you are not doing anything wrong.

Growth takes time.

Spring offers the perfect visual metaphor for emotional development:

  • Flowers bloom in their own time.

  • Rain strengthens roots before we ever see the blossoms.

  • Nothing grows overnight.

The same is true for children.

This month, I created a free printable confidence kit designed to help kids reframe mistakes, build resilience, and celebrate progress over perfection — because confidence isn’t about getting everything right. It’s about growing, little by little, each day.

What’s Inside the Spring Confidence Kit

Grow Through What You Go Through Spring Growth Mindset Activities for Kids

The Grow Through What You Go Through printables include:

  • 🌸 “I’m Growing” Flower Petal Page
  • 🌱 Every Oops Helps Me Grow Worksheet
  • 🌼 Seeds of Growth Activity
  • 🌷 “Look How Far I’ve Come” Growth Tracker
  • 🎨 Self-Portrait Page

Each page helps children see mistakes as learning, practice resilience, build emotional confidence, and reduce perfectionistic thinking.

Inspired by Petunia the Perfectionist

This printable was inspired by my children’s book, Petunia the Perfectionist, where Petunia discovers that perfection isn’t the goal — growth, learning, and trying again are.

Because our kids don’t need to get it right every time.

They need safe spaces to try.
They need room to make mistakes.
They need to know that who they are at this very moment is enough. Growth will follow!

Have fun, and happy mistake-making, learning & growing!
