Exciting News! Petunia the Perfectionist is a Midwest Book Awards Finalist!
I’m thrilled to share some exciting news — Petunia the Perfectionist has been named a finalist for the 35th Annual Midwest Book Awards in the Children’s Picture Book category!
Petunia the Perfectionist is such a special story to me. It’s all about encouraging kids (and the grown-ups who love them!) to embrace mistakes, let go of perfectionism, and celebrate their authentic selves. I poured so much heart into Petunia’s journey, and seeing it recognized by the Midwest Independent Publishers Association means the world to me.
The big celebration will be held on June 28, 2025, at the Frey Theater at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Winners will be announced live at the gala — and yes, I’ll be there, cheering on all the incredible authors and publishers from across the Midwest!
