I had the absolute best time being a guest on the interactive kids’ YouTube show Kids Ask Authors Answer, hosted by fellow children’s book authors Amy Doslich and Samantha Howard-Els.
Samantha did a beautiful read-aloud of Petunia the Perfectionist, and then the real fun began. Kids get to send in their own questions about the featured author’s book — and the author answers them live on the show. The catch? Authors have no idea what questions they’ll be asked ahead of time.
This led to one moment where I was asked a question I very confidently… did not know the answer to. 😅 It turned into a pretty hilarious (and very human) moment that still makes me laugh. You’ll definitely have to watch the episode to see how that one played out!
If you have a child who loves books, storytelling, or asking curious questions, this show is such a delight. I’m so grateful to Amy and Samantha for the invitation and for creating such a fun, kid-centered space that celebrates authors and readers alike.
